Initial Oral Examination
Your first visit to our office is highly important. We believe in being thorough and we allow one hour or more to complete a comprehensive dental examination. During this visit Dr. Martinez will spend time reviewing your dental and medical experiences, examine your head and neck for signs of oral cancer, evaluate the muscles for tenderness and the temporomandibular joint for function. Teeth and the soft tissue (gums) are examined for signs of decay, wear, moblility and periodontal conditions. Following this examination, a determination of need for necessary x-rays, photos or models of your teeth will direct your dentist in treatment planning what is ideal treatment for you as an individual.
